Company History
In 1976, Frank Tipton Sr. set out to live the American dream by establishing a trucking company with the goal of delivering an exceptional and seamless shipping process to clients. Frank began the journey with a single truck on the road, running nearly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through many years of hard work and dedication, Frank was able to lay the foundation for what we are today.
Today
With 45 years of experience, we are now a second-generation company with 50+ trucks on the road and 90+ employees ranging from drivers and mechanics to office personnel, all working together to keep those same family-owned values alive that we were founded on. We continue to strive each day to establish innovative processes that will provide the most exceptional shipping experience for our clients.
Community Involvement
Since our inception, we have believed that giving back to our local Oxford Area community is an important aspect of our business structure. Some of our more notable donations include the construction of the Oxford Little League Baseball Field and the establishment of Oxford Main Street Inc.

Frank Tipton, Sr. was a man of integrity. His hard work and dedication to not only Tipton Trucking, but also his family created a lasting impact on all who knew him. He loved what he did and would give the shirt off of his back to whoever was in need. After passing in 2013, his legacy has continued to live on through the eyes of many and he will always be remembered for the individual that he was.
